Sri Lanka name 30 man squad for world t-20

Spinner Ajantha Mendis and Jehan Mubarak were recalled to Sri Lanka's 30 member squad for the World T20 in September.

Sri Lanka announced the 30 member squad which included test specialist wicket keeper, Prasanna Jayawardane too. However, the notable omission was left handed youngster Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who showed lot of promise with Sri Lanka Under 19.

But Selectors picked only 02 batsman's from the premier clubs Twenty20 series performers in to the series and both of them were well known players Upul Tharanga and Chamara Kapugedara. None of Top 5 bowlers of the series weren't selected the squad and also rest of other top batsman were ignored at the final selection.

The T20 World Cup Tournament to be held in Colombo, Pallekale and Hambanthota.

  1. why they left out Banuka Rajapaksha? He shoul be given a chance. he was magnificent in u-19 world cup.Give the young guy a chance.
