Lasith Malinga to enter into motor car racing

Sri Lanka’s ace paceman Lasith Malinga will enter the auto racing arena in the middle of this year, cricket sources said.

Sources say that Malinga expects to be the first Sri Lankan cricketer who enters the auto racing sport.

Malinga has reportedly imported a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X suitable for the tracks in Sri Lanka and the car has been modified in a garage in Colombo.

The car with a six speed twin clutch gear box can run at 300 km per hour, sources say.

Malinga took the first step in motor racing in an exhibition race in India in October last year.
