"That's not the way we have gone about here. We never went after individual players, we have tried to control things the way we can control. He is just another player in a very good West Indies team. We must focus on the entire team.
We need to have a gameplan for a team, not for individuals. Records and numbers are all there, but what's important is how you perform and react to situations," Jayawardene said on Saturday.

Reacting to Mahela Jayawardene's comments, Chris Gayle said: "Now there's just one more hurdle and there's no pressure on us. We played against them in the Super Eights and we know what to expect - the atmosphere, the noise.
We lost that game, but we're definitely going to lift this trophy here. The others feel confident too. It's going to be a thriller against world-class players, but it's going to be good fun. We're enjoying it, but we want to win the final."
