Sri Lanka have approached several players from New Zealand to take part in the upcoming Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) but none of their star Test players will be available.
The SLPL players draft for teams will be held from July 5 to 6, with contracts valued at $10,000, $25,000 and $35,000.
Both New Zealand and India are scheduled to play a Test series at the end of August, which has resulted in all of the Black Caps' top players being unavailable.
Sri Lankan fans will not see the likes of Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori and Ross Taylor who have featured prominently in India's IPL tournament.
