The ICC appoints Media Manager for ICC World T20

The ICC announced the appointment of Shane Fernando as the Media Operations Manager for the ICC World Twenty20 Sri Lanka 2012 which will be staged in Colombo, Hambantota and Pallekele from 18 September to 7 October.

The women’s matches will be played in Galle from 26 September to 1 October with the semi-finals and final to be played on the same day at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as the men’s semi-finals and final.

One of Fernando’s main responsibilities will be the successful delivery of media operations plan as per ICC requirements and specifications.
Fernando has worked in Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in various capacities, including a stint as its media manager. He was also the Venue Facilities Media Manager for Sri Lanka’s leg of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 matches.
