Sri Lanka named 15 man squad against Pakistan today. Three match test series will start on next 22nd at Galle International Stadium.
Nuwan Pradeep & Jeewan Mendis selected for the test squad while Fast bowler Suranga Lakmal, Dhammika Prasad & Young batsman Lahiru Thirimanne left out from the side.Shaminda Eranga who make fine debut against Australia last year taking 4 wickets in the first innings of final test overlooked once again inspite of recovering from the injuries.
It is also interesting to note the selection of Nuwan Kulasekara, Thisara Perera & Jeevan Mendis to the Test side after their impressive showing in the ODIs.But both Kulasekara and Perera Struglle in tests previously.Perera even lost his place in one day side due to poor performance in tests against England in England.
Lahiru Thirimanne, Dhammika Prasad & Suranga Lakmal were members of the test squad played against England in March- April. 2012.
