Murali's Gloucestershire lost by 47 runs

Worcestershire won their first match of their Friends Life t20 tournament by crushing Gloucester by 47 runs batting first Worcester made 213 for 2 wickets in 20 overs
.Moen Ali made impressive 82 from 44 balls with four 6s.P Hughes made 78 from 48 balls.
Worcester start the onslaugh with Ali hitting four 4s in second over of the match balled by David Payne.
Not even Muttiah Muralitharan could hold up Worcestershire's charge but the 40-year-old former Sri Lanka international was the most economical bowler with 27 runs conceded in four overs. Although targeted for one of Moeen's four sixes, Murali managed to pose one or two problems, which was some sort of achievement as the batsmen tucked into a mixture of seam and spin on offer from a hard-pressed attack.
In reply Gloucester made 166 allout with H Marshall making 43 and K Williamson making 37. But they were always out of the contest chasing a huge total of 213.
