Dimuth Karunarathna made strong case to selectors to pick him for the Sri Lanka Test team openinig slot by scoring 94 before he was run out. He has struck 10 fours and a six in his valuble knock.
Sri Lanka ‘A,’ in their second innings, made 249 for four wickets, to have a lead of 65 runs, in their three-day cricket encounter played against South Africa team ‘Dolphins’ at Kingsmead, Durban, South Africa after the third day’s play yesterday.
Earlier Sri Lankan Chief selector said they looking at two A team openers Kusal Janith and Dimuth Karunarathna as potential test openers.
Meanwhile Angelo Perera was unbeaten on 52 to add to his first innings’ score of 72.Dolphins replied with 411 all out to the Lankans’ first innings total of 227 all out.
