Murali's agent denies Kiwi rumours

Spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan will not, in fact, be helping New Zealand's batsmen and bowlers when they visit his home country in November.

Reports on Wednesday suggested that Mike Hesson had asked Murali for help on their tour to the country, but the 40-year-old's agent Kushil Gunasekara has denied this. Kushil said: "There's no truth in it. His name was just dragged into it."

While Hesson only hinted at enlisting Murali's help specifically, he was very clear that he would be getting a specialist coach for his players, who have not had the best time against spin in recent times.
