The two Plate quarter-finals were played in Brisbane, with Sri Lanka rarely troubled in their easy win at Peter Burge Oval.
Nepal captain Prithu Baskota won the toss and elected to bat but his decision looked like a poor one when Pradeep Airee (four) and Sagar Pun (one) were both dismissed in the first five overs.
Naresh Budayair (four) was next to go and although Subash Khakurel (22) and Rajesh Pulami (16) offered some brief resistance, it did not last.
Sri Lanka had all the answers with the ball with openers Sanitha de Mel and Ranitha Liyanarachchi (both 2-25 off six overs) impressive, while Amila Aponso (2-13 off eight) also bowled well.
Tharindu Kaushal (3-13 off 4.3) cleaned up the tail as Nepal lost their last six wickets for just 26 runs, with the 18 extras being their second highest contribution on the scoreboard.
Sri Lanka openers Shehan Fernando (48) and Sebastian Perera (16) combined for a 71-run partnership and although they lost two quick wickets, they finished at 80-2 in the 21st over.
In the day's other match, Ireland defeated Namibia by four wickets.
The losers were bowled out for just 128 with only Christopher Coombe (28 not out) and Jason Davidson (24) looking comfortable at the crease.
Paceman Graeme McCarter (4-32 off 10) was Ireland's best bowler while spinner George Dockrell (1-8 off 10) was typically economical.
In response, Ireland lost Robin Kelly (six) and Scott Campbell (11) in the early stages but they were comfortable from there.
Ryan Hunter (42) and Jason van der Merwe (28) guided them towards their victory target and despite the efforts of Davidson (3-45 off 9.3), Ireland finished at 129-6 in the 25th over.
