Ecstatic at his selection, the dynamic left-hander said," It is an emotional day for me. I was very happy after my selection in the preliminary squad, but now I am over the moon."
Terming the rigours of T20 tourney as ideal for his body at the moment, he said "I am not yet ready for 50-over or Test cricket. The demands of the longer format are much more rigorous on the body."
About the chances of comeback in the longer format, Yuvraj said that he would take a call only after the World T20 gets over.
"I will take a call in October when there is a break." For the man, who fought the biggest battle of his life only few months back, it's more about the "mental aspect rather than physical" which is of paramount importance at the international level.
"Physical fitness has never really been a concern. It was the psychological impact that worried me."
Talking about the importance of the T20 matches against New Zealand, he felt that those games will serve as an indicator as to how he will be shaping up for the big ticket tournament.
The Player-of-the-Tournament during the 50-over World Cup said that he will play a few practice matches in Bangalore in order to get match-fit.
Reacting on the selection of the Harbhajan Singh, he said that "We have played together since we were kids. Hope to make an impact together on the pitch once again."
Thanking his mother Shabnam Singh for her support through his painful rehabilitation, he chided her by saying," She must be running around the town distributing sweets to everyone."
