A lot of hard work left to be done in the Test - Ford

Sri Lankan coach Graham Ford feels that a lot of hard work is left to be done on the final day. Pakistan had extended their lead to 188 runs, with two wickets in hand at stumps, on day four here at Pallekele, in the third Test and Sri Lanka only require a draw to complete their first series win, in three years.In a media briefing Ford said;

"We would have loved to have got into them this morning and get more wickets down by lunch and then I suppose at tea time we were quite concerned, but you have to give credit to the way they played. Our seamers found it a bit tough on that surface in the second innings, but there is still a lot of cricket to be played".

"We first have to get them out. That’s going to be the number one priority and our players have a lot of respect for the game and for the quality of the opposition. So, they know that they have to work hard tomorrow. It’s not that anybody is really starting to think that the series win is guaranteed".

"We’ve got respect for the whole unit. We are not in a position to worry about a particular bowler. Anybody who has got the ball in his hands can be a danger, and we have got to get out there and as everybody talks about doing it, it will be one ball at a time. It doesn’t matter who’s actually bowling. We have to be on top of our game and make sure we work our way through to whatever total we end up chasing".
