Australia Under 19 suffer loss to Pakistan In first ODI

The Australian Under 19 side have suffered a six wicket loss to Pakistan Under 19 in the first of three one-day-international matches, with Pakistan passing Australia's total with four overs to spare.
Pakistan won the toss and put Australia into bat on an even wicket at Kerrydale Oval in the Gold Coast.
New South Welshman Kurtis Patterson had an impressive performance with the bat scoring 83 runs, helping Australia post 187 off 46.5 overs.

In reply Pakistan got off to a slow start losing an early wicket to Western Australia's Joel Paris but continued on with a strong second wicket stand of 80 between Muhammad Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq.
Captaining the Australian side for today's match was Western Australian William Bosisto who said the team could take some positives out of the game.
"I think Kurtis Patterson batted really well at number three today and was the mainstay of our innings and also scored quite quickly, we just needed a few other batters to bat around him to get the score up to around the 220-230 mark.
"Bowling wise Pakistan have got a lot of spinners who were quite accurate and difficult to score from. Their captain, who opened the batting today, batted very well and got the Man of the Match performance, he was very solid all day and kept the batting ticking over," said Bosisto.
The Australian Under 19 team will play Pakistan in the second of three ODIs on Tuesday 31 July at Kerrydale Oval in Robina. The head-to-head series is serving as a warm-up for the ICC Cricket World Cup to be played in Queensland from 11-26 August.
